HONOLULU HAWAII USA 一 16 August

                                                                                                                                     

Hawaii 面積10,931 sq. miles，人口130萬。Honolulu 的 Waikiki 是世界聞名的沙灘。
 
今日參加的 Shore Excursion - Atlantis Submarine Adventure。早上10時坐車到 Waikiki，再由碼頭坐船到海中心，再落潛艇，潛艇潛落水底最深120呎，整個過程大約90分鐘。
 
下午自由探索 Honolulu，還到超級市場比較一下當地與澳洲的物價，看到有不少的食品售賣價錢都比澳洲貴一點。
                         

LOS ANGELES CALIFORNIA USA 一 11 August

 
Los Angeles lies along the Pacific Ocean in Southern California. It is the second largest city in the USA， more than 12 million people lives in the Los Angeles area。
 
船公司在 Los Angeles 安排的 Shore Excursion 只有兩個，一個是 Scenes of Los Angeles ，另一個是 Universal Studios。兩個 excursion 都沒有興趣，今天是自由探索。
 
一早由郵輪碼頭坐 Shuttle Bus 到 Los Angeles 市中心，本來想入去水族館參觀，由於時間有限，魚與熊掌，終於都選擇了周圍遊。
                        

 

MANZANILLO MEXICO 一 8 August

 
Manzanillo is Mexico's largest pacific port，and the self-proclaimed sailfish capital of the world。
 
船公司提供的 Shore Excursion 只有3個，看來 Manzanillo 是沒有名勝古蹟和特別之處是值得一遊.
 
今日參加 Shore Excursion - Cuyutlan Turtle Sanctuary。遊覽墨西哥最大海龜場、參觀鹽博物館、在 Cuyutlan Beach 餐廳吃墨西哥食品。

                        

ACAPULCO MEXICO 一 7 August

 
Acapulco 是墨西哥的一個城市，人口2百萬，這裏最出名是 La Quebrada Cliff divers 跳崖，和毒品戰。
 
今日的 Shore Excursion-Acapulco Deluxe ，行程是用旅遊巴遊覽整個市中心，跟著到 La Quebrada 看跳崖表演，下午在當地豪華酒店吃自助午餐，餐後在酒店的泳池或沙灘游泳。
 
在 Acapulco 只是數小時，給我的印像是第三世界地方，貧富懸殊嚴重，治安非常之差。當地的警員是手持自動機槍，酒店和商店都顧用持有手槍的保安員。當地的巴士又殘又舊，比香港50年代的還差。滿街都是又殘又舊的各類汽車，整天在路上都未見過一輛新寶馬。

                          

PANAMA CANAL PANAMA 一3 August

 
Transit of the Panama Canal
 
In 1534, Charles 1 of Spain ordered the first survey of a proposed canal route through the Isthmus of Panama. More than three centuries passed before the first construction was started. The French labored 20 years, beginning in 1880, but diseases and financial and engineering problems defeated them. In 1903 Panama gained its independence from Colombia.
 
Shortly thereafter, Panama's Independence and paid her ten million dollars. On May 4 ,1904, the United States purchased the French Canal Company rights and properties for 40 million and construction.
 
The huge project was completed in 1914 at a cost of approximately 387 million.
 
The first official ocean-to-ocean transit on August 15, 1914.
 
The total cost of Dawn Princess to navigate the Canal will be approximately $270,000 USD.

橫渡巴拿馬運河整整用上11個多小時，整艘郵輪的客人與職員都情緒高漲。整個過程我只可以用一個字形容"Stunning"。
                                                                               

 

CURACAO ANTILLES一1 August

 
Curacao 面積 38 miles long， 7.5 miles wide，人口170,000。Curacao 是荷蘭殖民地。
 
這個島的基礎設施和房屋設計都比 Antigua 和 Barbados 完善和整齊。不過從各種的跡象看來這裡的治安有點問題，例如：3個年輕人走在一起，任何人看到都可以報警拉人，所有房屋和商店的窗和門都裝上鐵閘。
 
今日的 Shore Excursion-Curacao Highlights & Sea Aquarium，途中經過 World Heritage City of Willemstad 和 Queen Juliana Bridge，這條橋是在 Caribbean 最高的橋。最後的行程是到 Curacao Sea Aquarium 欣賞海豚表演。
